All was golden in the sky.

For many, the advent of summer signals a time of opportunity and new beginnings.
...especially for those who utterly failed to stick to their New Year's resolutions.

*whistle*
Not me, of course. ;]

Thankfully, however, summer usually finds me puttering around aimlessly with nothing to do, at which point I tend to look at my to-do list, think "Why the hell not?" and actually (*gasp*) get things done.

So. What does Morgy's said "to-do list" look like, this year?

Well, in no particular order, here goes:

1. Go skinny dipping.
(Those of you with virgin eyes are advised to look away now.
Graphic content below.)

2. Rediscover a healthy relationship with running.

3. Eat more peanut buttah.
(This is a toughie, I know. ;D )

4. Do something fabulous (translate: ridiculous) with my hair.

5. Three words: Ben and Jerry's.
Consume.

6. Spend more time with family.

7. And friends.

8. And the boytoy.

(Two pitchas, just because we have pretty much the cutest asses. Ever.)

9. Get drunk.
(Which, surprisingly enough, I was not in this photo.)

10. Record a CD of my music.
(Although this is really a "must-do", since I really enjoy having a head attached to my neck and Mum is ever-so-threatening when it comes to losing her live piano music..)

11. Take a deep breath. Slow down.
Look around.
And see things - really see them.

Now, this isn't the end of the list - not a chance. If I were to write the ho shebang out...I'd be an old, wrinkly lady by the time I finished. And I'd really prefer to actually live the years between now and then. ;]

Nope. These are just the ones that popped into my little noggin as I've sat here, writing.

But 'nuff 'bout me. What 'bout all of y'all?

What are your plans for the summer?

Give me a couple things. Or your whole list.
Whatever flips yer pancake. =D

On one last note - my stomach has seriously been acting up over the past couple days. As in sharp pain and cramping.
But only in the afternoons?
And no, I'm not preggo. Or riding the crimson wave.

Not sure if it's something I'm eating, or if I should go in to have it checked out?

I kind of just want my body to WORK, already.
*garumph*

Ah well. I'm off to grab some ice cream!
WHO'S WITH ME?

*scampers off*

How is that possible!?

2. Good luck with the running (no sarcasm) I hope that I can work up the strength to do that again too. You might have to be my inspiration.

4. You skipped something on the list Mo, your still a virgin.
0.o a Haggen Daz virgin.

5. I mucho <3 the pix of friends and family, and while your little tushy is cute adorable I can't say that kevin's scrawny ass is doing much for anybody :D

6. So you want to get tipsy? Please let me be there to witness that. Please.

7. Please record a CD!!!! I want to take a copy to college (I like the Kairos pix, but lex looks hella scary)

Oh, my! I see baby butt!

I always love happy, positive posts! The list is fantastic too. I think your summer is going to be jam packed! And that CD of yours? You should upload it online so we can listen too. :D It'd be so neat!

Hmmm, I think you might have got something- that baby's hair is just as fab as you can get... if you add some tiger stripe hair dying too! ;)

I want to do something drastic with my hair though... and I want to get back my body. Not as in weight wise, but that body I had waaay before ED, when I used to have muscle (Oh, yeah, picture Emily with some bad ass guns!) and I could run! I miss that.
Annnnd I want to tackle as many new recipes as possible!

I'm heading off to get some ice cream too!

btw, who is that delicious-looking baby! looks great cute to eat! I mean it in a metaphorical way, of course!
my summer list:
1) Grow out my damn hair
2) Go to the beach, maybe even manage to gain enough pounds to wear a bathing suit?
3) Eat out in cool restaurants
4) Get to spend the last months with my family more
5) go on first ever family vacation since my ED
and a lot more, but it's late and my head is kinda foggy!
tralala~

My stomach has been acting up ever since recovery. I think it's just your GI tract trying to heal. If it's seriously bothering you a lot then I'd definitely see a doctor. Anyways.. I love B&J's Flipped Out Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sooooo good!

I LOVE your listy! And the photos accompanying it. I DARE you to cut your hair like that, and die it pink. Okay..maybe not THAT outrageous!
I know you'll do all of that and more this summer. =)
Summer is the season of livin', after all!
I'm not sure what's up with the tum tum but it has happened to me before..I think it has to do with our bodies and digestive systems getting used to the greater input of food? If it gets worse/is persistent though, definitely see your doc about it.
Wellzzzzz seeing as it is unfortunately WINTER here in Aussieland, my plans are basically to relax, get creative, eat warm foodicles, and engage in lots of conversation with the people I love!
Have a great night/day gorgeous!

Morgan,

I just started reading your blog before your long vaycay from blogland, but I'm so glad your back! Your goofiness makes me smile :)

Some wonderfulll to-do's there, lemme say. Although, I'd be careful with the "Get drunk" one. My first experience of that, which oddly enough was the summer after my senior year as well, was hella fun because I was with close friends and adults. But the partying scene...just wasn't for me, and I got into situations I later regretted. But I'm sure you're way smarter than me about that stuff, so not to worry.

So glad your senior year was awesome! Now onto more exciting things yet. Got any plans figured out?

And some of my to-do's...
- Drink a vanilla malt (my old love).
- Begin marathon training.
- Go on an all day hike.
- Have a freaking awesome movie marathon/lazy-fest.

Have a great weekend, dear!

<3 Nell

Oh dear! A baby's butt, so graphic! :O Just lost my eye virginity thanks to you. hehe.
Lovely post! I made a list like this too and it really got me thinking about what I want to do with my life over the summer!
Some stuff on my list: write a novel, eat a giant toasted ant in Colombia, eat cake on my birthday, go downtown with friends often, etc.
I'm so glad summer has started.
And I am with you on the ice cream! Yummmm.

Beautiful post my lurvvv! I know this will be your best summer so far! I think I'll do my own post like this later so I won't say my goals yet :]

Hmmmm, sorry about those tummy troubles. Try and take notice of exactly when in the afternoon it starts hurting, and seeing if it hurts more after eating certain things.

This is probably a really, really, really stupid question. BUT I'm going to Sacramento this summer, with a short stop in San Fran. Do you live near enough to either for a blogger meet up?

Much love!
