Cramp Central Station.

...is definitely not where I wanted to spend today.

*sigh*
In a house devoid of motrin and ibuprofen, Aunt Flo decided to do her worst.
Evil witch of the south.

(Get it? South? Hur hur hur.)

Nevertheless! Today turned out dandy. =]
I vill show you. Dvon't vurry.

See?
After THIS breakfast of scrumdidumptious, how couldja NOT have a fantabulous day?

Boonana (microed, Kiki-style!), walnut, brown sugar, and cinnamon oats with tea+Activia
Eet jus don' GEET eny bettah dan dat, mon.

Hee. Mah favorite accent of ALL TIME.^

Shh. I secretly wish I was Jamaican.
Let me have my fun!

Once all that goodness was acquainting itself with my tumtum, I set out on an excursion into the WILD.
..Or, y'know, my neighborhood.
Same thing, really.

And, as usual, my loverboy accompanied me.
No, not Kevin, sillies.
The bestest likkle camera in the whole world!!

Makin' an effort to photograph something BESIDES flowers.

Oop. Fail. *sheepish grin*

Couldn't decide between the two pitchurs!
Ergo, both.
Nuttin' wrong with moah pink. =D

Whilst in the process of photographing the cherry blossoms, their owner caught me red-handed.
Uhm. Awkward turtle.
Sooo..I just quickly told him that I thought his tree was perty, and that I was making an Easter collage of flowers for a school project. (Only a partial lie. Details in a few weeks)
Hee.

Thankfully, he was a gullible man, and even gave me permission to photograph the rest of his yard.
SCORE.

Lighting was finicky today. Grargh.
Too bright.

Too dark.

Just right. Finally.
I found this cutie right outside my door.

And his sistah.
They're a happy family. =]

Cuando regrese a casa, it was time for lunchie!

Sammie made with portabella mushroom spread, fresh mozzarella, and sundried tomatoes (packed in oil for extra cals! Yumyummyyum.)
Plus Club crackers and Cocoa Bella chocolate.
Shucks. This pitchur REALLY doesn't do Mistah sandwich justice.

But THIS one does.
And yes, that is my puny phone chillaxin in the background.

Ran over to the bank afterwards for some moola. Because I had a...very serious situation. And it needed fixing.
FAST.

So, fixed it was. =D
Yay for French pedis!

I like pedicures, because they force me to sit still for over an hour.
No twitchin'.
It drives ED crazy, but gives Morgan a chance to relax.
Which I needed sooper badly, since Flo was kickin' up a storm this afternoon.
*grumble*

Wish I was a boy.

Anyhow. Upon arrival home, my sweet tooth was crying out for attention.
So I indulged him, of course. =]

Dried fruit, mini Reese's, Ghiradelli square, and Whoppers.
Atop my Physics homework.
We know where my priorities lie. ;]

As you can see, I knew I wanted chokkie. I just didn't know which KIND.
Hence, variety assortment!
Hey. It's that time of the month. I can have as much dern chocolate as I want.

So poo on you, ED.

Wasted a buncha time on physics. Then English. Then Bubble Shoote-*cough* I mean, history.
Soon enough, dindin was looming on the horizon.

Potstickers with soy sauce fer tha dippin', and teriyaki broccoli.
All cooked successfully by moi!
..First time I haven't charred the life out of a potsticker.

Oh yes. And now for the muchly anticipated dessert-fest..

*drumroll*

*continuation of drumroll*

*this drumroll is rather long, don't you think?*

*whistle*

*okay, okay*

Peach cobbler with French vanilla ice cream.
Hope I did not disappoint. ;]

Welp, it's been a long day and I hafta work in tha morning.
Pleh.
And Daylight Savings Time is going to ruin my life. >=I

Soo...readin' and then beddybye time for Morgs.
'Night, dahlins!

Friday, March 6, 2009

I, I bring the fiyah.

Goodgraciousme. Morgy was a human roadrunner today. *Beepbeep*

Most. productive. day. evar.

However, before I relate my escapades, I must update y'all on the unfortunate events of last night.
1) I didn't have my daily ice cream. >=I
(No time between work & competition. Grr.
Had to drink CIB instead. *shudder*)
2) We lost.

Seniors lost to Juniors. Oh, the humiliation.

HOWEVAH.
They still have another year of high school, whilst we get to trot off to college in a few months.
Nananananana. Pbbt.

Psh. I'm not a sore loser.
At all.
;]

Now, moving on to today!

Woke up TOO EARLY. GRARGH.

(*headdesk in effort to smush internal alarm clock.*
*fails, but acquires lovely purple bruise on forehead*)

And then I figured that I'd weigh in today, thereby avoiding ED's typical Friday tantrum.
Huh. Whaddayaknow? There IS brain knockin' around up there!

Well, the results are in....
Still 110.
(Aunt Flo came in this mornin', too, so I dunno if any of that is H2O weight. It makes me nervioso.)
Hmm...more foodie it is for Morgan!

Afterwards, boi was I HUNGRAY.
A problem easily solved, as you well know. =D

Apple toaster strudel, blueberry Activia with golden raspberries, and lavender chai tea.
Incoherency at its finest.

Lookit him, all golden and beauteous.
He could've been a raspberry model.
'Cept he walked a runway to my tummy. =]

Despues, I decided to tackle my book situation.
Throughout the day, I sorted through 7 boxes of books. Chucking some, storing others, and putting my favorites in mah new bookcase.
At around 10pm, my task was complete.

...And did I mention I alphabetized them, too?
No, I do not have OCD proble-AGH. THE BOOKS ON THE TOP SHELF ARE CROOKED.
Okay. Fixed.
Can breathe again.

Yeeps. Heavin' them books around builds up a manly appetite. Ergo:

Cashew buttah+boonana sammie, last of pita chip bag (NEVAH FEAR. I haz 'notha =D), and strawberry blended almond milk.
Mistah blender and I have been making sweet, frooty love, recently.
...Uh ohs. Kevin might get jealous. o.o

For your food porn viewing pleasure!
I quite liked the neat arrangement of boonana.

'Til this fellar tried to escape!
Get back in there, you.

Lunch was noshed quickly, since I had to run my car to the shop at noon.
Not a biggie. Just a teensy dent from when I..*ahem* backed into our garbage can.
I iz gud driver.
Turns out they can't just pop it out, since my gas tank's in the way. They'd have to deconstruct the back part of my car, and repaint the dented area.
Cost? 750$.

Erm. No thank you.

I love my baby, even if she is a little dinged up. =]

Since I had to walk home from the shop, and then back again, afternoon was kind of snack-y.
Numero uno:

Chokkie NuGo bar.
Must. finish. box.
They expire in April. *sniff*

Yumtummytum.
I'm sorry, but this pwns Lunabars.
By.far.

Latah, in betweenst walkin' treks, I wandered back to the days of my youth.
Numero dos:

Apple with dulce de leche.
Like Micky D's apple dippers.
BUT MORGANIFIED.
And, therefore, bettah.

Decided to add a little moozac to the rest of my afternoon. Practiced some of my new Chopin book (getting new sheet music is like Christmas for moi) until my fingers froze. Then went back upstairs to...you guessed it...sort moah books!
With my addiction, Pandora Radio, of course. ;]

Then, when Mum finally decided to grace the house with her presence, I cooked up sum goodness for the two of us.

Lemony pasta with broccoli, sundried tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.
That bowl is deeper than it looks...
I inhaled a truckload of this shtuff.
It was that.good.

Oh, and also polished off the rest of this bad boy.
So Kiki and Emily don't STEAL IT. >=I

Ahh. Straight outta tha carton is my favorite. Although I apologize for the lack of creative ice cream concoction, tonight. But I have a wunnerful one planned for tomorrah, so don't worry your perty little heads. =]

Mum and I watched "Trading Places" tonight, which stars Eddie Murphy. It's pretty amusing, if you don't mind a little boobage and some corniness.
Hey, it's an 80's movie! What do you expect?

Oh, and before I forget. A little birdie told me that Kiki won't be around until Sunday/Mondayish, since she's had a few issues come up and needs some time away from bloggin'.
But she'd like y'all to know that she isn't dead. Which is a relief, because we luff ya, Kiki!!

Oky. It is now officially tomorrah.
Or Saturday. Whatevah.
And Morgy needs her beauty rest, so she will leave you with this.

LET IT ROCK
LET IT ROCK
LET IT ROCK.

The madness.

Oky. I've officially been a lame-pants at updating this week.
Apologies. I've been (more than) a little stressed.

Yep. I know I said Monday oughta be buried in my mental archives.
But it's been a pain in my noggin, so let's see if laying it out here helps.

So. Here be the tale of Morgan's Monday Meltdown!

Whelp, things were rollin' along just fine, for most of the morning.
Then Physics class happened.

...Nature picks the most inopportune moments to call.

Middle of lecture, of course.
I decided I could hold out until the windbag finally shut his trap. Somehow survived, raised my hand, and asked in my sweetest tone if I could please be excused to the lady's room.

"No."

Morgan: Uhm. WHUT?
Did he really just say that?

"Blahblahclassworkblahblah*

Morgan: Dude. I don't care about your dern classwork. I have the highest grade in this class.
AND I AM DYING HERE. I NEED TO PEE.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), none of that made it out my mouth. I was utterly stunned.
Isn't there some sort of unwritten law?

"Man cannot come between woman and her bathroom without risk of castration."

Well, if there was..I JUST WROTE IT.

But honestly, the reason I needed to go so badly was because I always drink a tonna water in the morning. Reason being that...my heart still isn't in fantastic shape (Oh, btw, I did a pulse check last night before bed, and my RHR was in the low/mid 50's. Is this too low? I really can't afford to see my GP right now unless it's absolutely necessary), and I struggle to keep my blood pressure up.

And, well, 2 cups H20+1 cup tea hastah go sumwhere.

I'm ashamed to admit I had something of a breakdown in class. I feel like all the issues that have been coming up recently are rooted in ED.
If I could just SQUASH him, everything would be so.much.easier.

Same feeling was later reconfirmed in Spanish class, when I attempted to ask la profesora after class if I could not do the food/exercise diary she had assigned.

"Attempted", because I choked on my tears and basically garbled to her for 4 minutes before she grasped the request.
Brilliant, Morgan.
Worse, I apparently worried her to the point that she emailed Mum.
Which meant fun times when THAT woman came home.

Whew.
I love your guts if you read all that.
And I admire your sense of self-preservation if you did not.

Wow. Whaddayknow? I DO feel bettah. =D
POSITIVITY SHIFT.

Now I can blurb about today. But first, because it was just so dang'licious:

Aftahnoon snacky de yesterday.
Speaks for itself, methinks.

Undressed.
Ooh. Scandalous.

Noshed on that suckah before therapist's appt.
Mum went with, and we had sushi afterwards.
YAY RAW FISHIES.
Okay. Sorry.
I just really love sushi.

The appt. went well, btw. Blogging came up, and my therapist thinks y'all are the bombdiggety. ;]

Pre-weighing anxiety was also addressed. She suggested that, instead of distracting myself (pushing back the fear), I discuss it with someone. Friends, Mum, whoever.
Well, not just whoever.
(Much as I'm sure hoboman would love to listen to my problems.)
But you know what I mean, jellybeans. =D

Okay. So today was the fan-freakin-tastic, foodwise.
Have patience. You'll see.

Brekkie!
Activia with strawberry almond granola and golden raspberries. Plus tea.
Be warned. This is only the perty "before".

THE GORY AFTERMATH.

Oh well. Looks aren't everything.
It still made my tummy a happy camper. =]

Blargh. School just isn't worth talkin' 'bout, so I'll squish lunch in here and move on.

*LUNCH*

Ham and cheese sammie with Pirates Booty and part of mini Vitamin Water.
Also had bite of shortbread cookie, but he tasted stale.
Sad fate, for one so young. *sniff*

Somehow, by the time school got out, I was a ravenous monster.
All who crossed my path shied away in terror.

...

Bahaha. Right.

But anyhow. I figured it was high time to get my best ol' buddy off the shelf.
MISTAH SMOOTHIE MAKAH.

Strawberry-boonana smoothie made with almond milk, and kettle popcorn.
Just for you, Erbear. ;]

Afterward, I hauled booty to piano lesson. Teacher hooked me up with some Chopin.
SCORE.

Though, unfortunately, snack didn't hold me over well. I was hungray in less than 2 hours.
I am seeing peanut buttah in my future. Oh yes.

However, my problem then was easily remedied.

Pork buns with teriyaki-garlic roasted broccoli.
This was an adventure to cook.
Why? Well..

Psh. Who sez you need a steamer?
It ain't rocket science.

Oh, and I recreated an ice cream concotion I made a few nights ago, when I didn't post (BAD MORGAN).
Eet iz inspired by Kiki, and, well, it knocked my fuzzy little socks off.

French vanilla ice cream with crumbled Buttahfingahs on top.
Ah. Life is good.

Oh, and for those of you who've been wondering - yes, I know you all have - but 'specially for Brooke:
I have decided to reveal my dirty little secret.

O.O

From the depths of the ice cream jungle.
IT'S NEVER-ENDING.

Hurhur.
Okay, so I know I wrotechall a novel, today. But it's in anticipation that I won't be able to blog tomorrah. My school has a massive, once-a-year class competition tomorrow night, so I'll be out late and wiped out.

Oh gosh. I'm getting old, aren't I?

*glance at clock*

Definitely bedtime.
Sweet dreams, blogland!

Just dance. Gonna be okay.

Note: Yesterday I didn't get to post acos I had to read 150 pages of The Awakening.
Procrastination is not my friend.
And today was basically a bowlful of pooey, aside from some foodie revelations.
(PB+crackers and frozen strawberries+almond milk snacky. Ohmigosh. MUCHAS GRACIAS a Emily for that yummay combo!)

..It deserves either a post to itself, or to be never spoken of again.

Ergo, THIS postie is all 'bout Sundaaay, bloody Sundaaay.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Luff me some U2, and you, too. =D

Get it?
I made joke.
Hurhur.

Okay. Down to serious business: BREKKIE.

Toasted English muffin with almond buttah, strawberries, and a drizzle of spun honey, with Activia and tea.
Them halves were lookin' a likkle lonely by their onesies..

WARNING. NOT SAFE FOR VIRGIN EYES.

So I made 'em into a love-wich.
Ooh la la.

Despues, I puttered around the house for awhile, read a tad, and got meself ready for work.
Yay.

I also made this.

Toastie ham+cheese sammie, almond milk, and Oreos.
Oh noez! Return of teh oreoz!
But not for long!
NOM NOM NOM.

Work was pleh. Little slow, so time dragged.
Except I saw Kevin twice = squee!

Oh, and I had something of an eye-opener.

I saw myself. Really saw myself.
Not slightly-chubby Morgan, with stumpy legs and chipmunk cheeks.

I was walking towards a set of glass doors on my break, heading for my car. They were reflective, like a giant mirror.

I literally stopped and looked over my shoulder.
Because that scared-looking little girl couldn't have been me.

No one there.

Glanced back at my reflection, and saw the wide-eyed, slender girl with tiny wrists staring back at me.

(No wonder people ask me if I'm old enough to work alla time. Harumph.)

As I goggled, she morphed back into chubster Morgy.
But I had seen her. Me. I had seen me.

Now, in quick little glimpses, I keep seeing the same image. ED mutters that I'm seeing things - that I'm losing my marbles.
But I know better.
Although I'm not sure that I like what I see. Right now, I'm out-of-sorts about a lot of things.

Moving on. As I was a'sayin, I was walkin' to mi carro. Which, of course, meant..

Apple!

Larabar!

Ain't nuttin NOT ta like.

And pooey on your grammer.

Heeyars yur food porn of the day!
Drooling is acceptable.

Finished my jail ti-*cough*-hours at work, sped home (I mean, what? I don't speed...*ahem*), and read my bookie straight from 4:30 until 10:00.
Well, not the WHOLE time.

I took a break to conjure up this magical wonder, inspired by Erin - mah sistah from 'notha mistah. =D

*deeep breath* Cinnamon-nutmeg-brown sugar-golden raspberry pancake, and an omlette-turned-scrambled-eggs made with cheese and salsa and enjoyed with SOWAH CREEM.
That was a mouthful.
And a tummyful.

But I still had room for white chocolate raspberry ice cream!
There's just sumtin 'bout pink food.
It maketh me happeh. =]

So now I'm off to boogie s'more with mah Lady Gaga.
Or sleep.
Guess that would be more practical.

..

Practical? Psshhhh...

Hot 'n cold.

Yes, then no.
In and out.
Up and down.

Don't get your panties all up in a bunch - I absolutely adore ms. kooky Katy Perry.
BUT.
I would prefer that my days NOT relate to one of her semi-break-up songs.

Oh..silly Morgan. Thinking ED could be slept off like a hangover.
Get your head out of the clouds of naivity, girl.

Woke up far too early this morning, and to ED's leering face.
Creeper.
Even the catchy tunez of my lovers, Metro Station, (GUILTY PLEASURE) couldn't drown out his garbage.
Worse, Mum slept in, so I was stuck in my room with a rumbling tummy while he talked my ear (and self-esteem) off.

Because, y'know, I couldn't possibly snag some brekkie before a weigh-in. God forbid, that might add a half pound or something.

...Tell me where my brain has gone, because it definitely is NOT in my skull.

*brain waves from afar*
GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE POOPER.

*ahem*
Anyhow. When Mum FINALLY got her patooty out of bed, I hopped on her bathroom scale (it lives there so someone isn't jumpin' on it every 5 minutes) and..

Up another half pound!
...And five more to go.
URGH.

But, whilst ED was sulking in the corner, Morgy did a celebratory jig and concocted this bad boy:

Tea and Activia with sooper boonana muffin.
'member him?
Well. I made him bettah.
Chocolate makes EVERYTHING bettah.

Poor thing. So oblivious.

*MUNCHMUNCH*

Never fear - he was soon put out of his misery. =]
For I am Morgan, assassin of muffins!

Despues de noshin' and showerin', (you just imagined me naked, didn't you? Tsktsk.) I tramped around the neighborhood with my camera.
The usual:

+

And...the not-so-usual.

Lookit those teeny wheels!

Aren't they adorabable?

Okay. Storytiiiime.
Gather round, children. Gather round.

So. For the past few weeks that I've been a'walkin' round the neighborhood, I've crossed paths with a really sweet, non-creeper homeless dude. He always stands at the same corner, holding a sign and begging for money.
And he always says hi, unlike most snobby Californians.

But, today, I came upon a tragic sight.

Found on the street corner.
*sniffle*

What happened to you, hoboman?
Come back!!
You were my favorite. =[

Well, at least I made a new friend.

He looks cold.
Poor little bugger.
Needs a rolypoly blankie.

For lunch, Mum and I went out to eat at Flower Flour.
Flowers+pastries+cafe? Brilliance.
No pitchur, because I forgot my camera. *sadface*
But it was both gorgeous and delicious noshings, I tell you.

*LUNCH*

Spinach pie and a little almond debutante cake.
Droolworthy.

Oh wait.

I stealz from website.
Muhaha.

Lamentably, although lunch was yumskies, I felt very sick for most of the afternoon.
Could've been from anxiety, as ED was muchly displeased by the restaurant fare.

*sigh*
I'm not going to comment on the epic failure that was afternoon snack, for similar reasons as yesterday's.

Somehow, however, I managed to plow through errand-running. Our refrigerator was looking forlornly empty, so we got some foodie to "fill her up", as Erin would say. =D

By din din, I had something of an appetite back. Prolly acos the house smelled DIVINE.
Mum is my hero. I aspire to her cooking expertise.

Balsamic asparagus, roasted broccoli with cumin, and mashed taters.
Delish and nutrish!

Plus Haagen Dazs fro-yo.
Vanilla+honey+granola+maraschino cherry jooce.
My life is complete.

So. Today most definitely had its ups and downs. I'm seeing a general upward trend, but I'm still disappointed in myself for turning Kevin down and not seeing Slumdog Millionaire again tonight.

...Though perhaps it was for the best. I'm physically tired from running around all day, and mentally exhausted from fighting this.
I just want an escape, but there isn't an easy way out.

So I'll just keep plugging away.

On a final, positive note, I took a page out of Lauren's book of awesome, and did a couple affirmations this morning when I was struggling.
And here's one for sharing. =]

I love my eyes.
I love that they reflect the color of the ocean.
I love that they allow me to see beauty, and that they keep me safe.
(Especially whilst driving. o.O)
And I love that they'll never change, even as I grow older.

Feel free to hop on the bandwagon! Yes, it's a likkle bit corny.
But, wow.
I was walkin' on sunshine, afterwards.
Well...not quite.
But I felt oodlez bettah. =]

Anyhow. Time for Morgy to curl up in bed with some good, feministic reading.

Mhmm. Brain fodder.

So, night, loves!

P.S. To the fabulous Claudia :
MUHAHA. I STILL HAZ YOUR BREKKIE.
*munchmunchmunch*
=D
